Manele Bay Hotel on Lanai. Good private getaway.

This weekend, we stayed at the Manele Bay Hotel on the island of Lanai. We stayed at the four seasons Hotel which ownes these resorts. For those of you that may not be familiar the four seasons Hotel resorts on the island, one resort is up in the mountains the second resort is down by the ocean. The resort that we stayed at was that the ocean. The ocean resort it the Manele Bay, and the mountain resort is the Ko'ele Lodge.

I have to say, that I had a great time. We got there and had lunch at the pool bar and the food was actually very good. My wife had an Ahi nicoise salad, and I had shrimp cocktail and a crispy, calamari salad. A friend with us had an ahi sandwich, it was actually made with pita bread.

As we're there having lunch you can see in the bay and you could actually see dolphins swimming by. We finally got to our rooms, and it was beautiful... actually very large, the California King size bed was beautiful and we had one had a great shower, as well a very deep pub that my wife just loved the hotel are solid, and the guest service is great.

We spent time at the spa. My wife had a pedicure manicure. Her service was great and her French manicure looked great. I had a stone therapy massage. It was 50 minutes in total.

The food at the hotel is relatively good. We had a breakfast buffet or in a law breakfast food, he smoked salmon, in the mountains and that was good too. I had short ribs and my wife had three.

What we were up in the lodge there, was to go horseback riding.

While there, we went horsback riding. It was funny, my wife's horse kept wanting to eat. I tell you, if was pretty fun, but the horses were old, and I think they only wanted to get back to the barn, and by the end of the ride, I was covered with red dirt, but I have to say it was pretty fun.

We then went snorkeling at the bay. Gear is provided by the hotel as well as great cold water, and sun tan lotion. We swam out to the bay. What we saw was tons of fish, some nice crabs, the Dolphins, but we never saw them the dolphins which I hear come by often.

The next day we spoke to some guest, and she had swam with the Dolphins for two hours. The guesttold us that when she was out there, she swam to them, and when she looked down there were at least if. They were all around her as they did not have a problem with her being there a company.

People are nice, the service is great, and the overall experience was very relaxing.

In Lanai city, we visited, but it is small, however there are little shops to check out. We checked it out, too, it all in, and got a feel for the culture there.

All in all, it was a good trip. Very relaxing, and the people are nice. If you have time to visit and get away, I think you'll have a good time!
